Hello from a new member in VA

Hello everyone,

I am a new member and completely new to rebreathers. I am joining this site to gain more knowledge on them. I saw references to this site on the sigs of some of the posters on scubaboard who were nice enough to answer some rebreather questions for me.

bill -- are any of the Rebreather folks in the va beach diving anywhere on a regular basis?

All I can say is that "it's growing."

If you go on the Lynnhaven Dive Center website and look at the 2008 Boat Schedule you will see the "technical" dives. There will be rebreather divers on those, for sure. LDC is averaging one tech dive per month.

If you would like, I'll be glad to PM you the tech and non-tech dives I've signed up for off shore VB. Also take another look at Ted Green's OC Diver site. Ted runs a great operation and attracts lots of Rebreather divers, since he's one himself.

Several of us have been at Lake Rawlings most weekends this winter getting everything ready for the upcoming season. You might be monitoring the VBTech list, as that's where we're talking. I'm planning on diving with LDC tomorrow, but will be at LR again tomorrow if the boat doesn't go.

We've got a run to Florida (Peacock area) from May 14th thru 24th, ending with 2 days at Jackson Blue and the NSS CDS workshop that will have a HH and Meg on. Let me know if you are interested.

I'll be at Lake Rawlings this weekend as well. I'll be OC this weekend (in the middle of selling my Meg and moving to a different rebreather). Prehaps we'll see each other.
