![]() | Hi there from Kent Hi everyone my name suprisingly is Steve I am 50 and first learned to dive over 20 years ago took a break (18 years) and have now come back. Now it seems I am moving over to SCR. Did a Dolphin course last week in Utila and it was a lot of fun and a major challenge (bouyancy control), now I am trying hard to buy an SCR here in the UK. Why is it so difficult to get anyone to take my cash? Am looking at Submatix and Dolphin as my options. Dolphin cos I tried it and Submatix cos it looks like I might be able to convert to CCR later. Any advice welcome.Main interest is photography rather than going deep. Bye for now. |

My advise is just get a CCR the first time and be done with it. You will save much time and aggravation...not to mention money in the long run, by just getting a CCR from the start. If money is an issue, try used or a KISS.

![]() | Re: Hi there from Kent Thanks for replies I am considering what you say, had a quick look at the KISS site and will read up some more tonight. Currently my only real reservation is that my main interest is photography and it looks at the moment like CCR needs quite a bit more management than SCR and therefore less time to concentrate on the photos. Will continue to study up and try to form an opinion. Steve |
