Mike and I have just signed up since I am thinking of buying a rebreather. I have been doing some research on the internet and came across this site. I am still up in the air if I want a SCR or a CCR. Hopefully I will find lots of info here.

Go CCR. Unless you have a hard time getting enough bottom with OC gas supply, there isn't much of an advantage of SCR over OC nitrox.

Welcome to the group. Save some money and just go strait to the CCR and skip the SCR.

exactly, seems like every post of a SCR is how they "customized" it to a CCR. Just pull the trigger, you will find the money along the way (at least I did).
