![]() | I'm going to be buying a Dolphin next March, along way off I know but I've got alot to do before then! The reason I want one of those is 'simplicity.' No computers, gadgets bleeping, just set it and you go... Unless you guys have any alternative options (in the same price too??) Anyway, looking forward to exchanging ideas, but most of all learning from you all! Regards Jon PADI DM |

For most diving you're better on on a nitrox 15L with a significant cost saving. We put up with the testing, cleaning and agro of a rebreather to do bigger/more dives than that. They aren't suited to our one deep dive/one shallow dive days and square profiles.

I want to get deeper, and nitrox will only extend bottom time, not depth.I've known several people on the south Coast who've had Dolphins but nobody who did more than a year on one. Especially the agro...Quote: What is a 'bigger' dive? I want to get deeper, and nitrox will only extend bottom time, not depth. Then you definitely don't want a Dolphin. Do you dive with any rebreather users? If not, since you're only up the coast from me, wait until I get my cylinders back from test and roll over and inspect one.
