I thought you were Mr. KISS 287 and now you are basically recommending that I get a rEvo?If Bill finds himself suddenly needing new dive buds, I am sure we can find him a group. But he has to get a rEvo. Hmm...I wonder when Robin is doing another rEvo class, I do have some space on my credit card and I have "approval" from the boss to move forward. | Re: Hello from San Diego haha well guess what, I do have evidence! Wait, what are we talking about? The pink backplate?![]() Bill, definitely give Robin a call, he already has a few classes lined up. You know how we all feel about the rEvos.

Robin will be able to teach you both soon, they are both great units. Now that Robin had a rEvo and a CK (but yet to dive the CK) ask him for his professional opinion. I helped him unpack his CK and he liked the look of the CK and how easy it was to assemble, to get parts and counterlungs and the wide variety of computers/monitors & HUDs you can add to it. Robin plans to use the Universal rebreather monitor with a VR3, HUD and the Delta P pendant display.I could've gone either way, but when I bought it was harder to get to an instructor, the price was high for me and I like the availability of parts of the CK. Paul K. was without a rEvo Dream for a while since he had to send it to Belgium to get fixed. Paul R. is a super dude and very helpful and urgent with repair issues but shipping does take time and $. If you ever plan to convert to eCCR then the SW controller made for the rEvo will be an awesome setup if you have the $$$. Really Bill I thought you would succumb to peer pressure and get the rEvo like the other boys in the neighborhood. The number of KISS units in SD is growing. Robin is getting certified this week. Corree has her SK and is awaiting training. Pete ordered his CK last week and will have it soon. You are free to join the KISS club.

| Re: Hello from San Diego Even after Paul R. told you that doing that would damage your rEvodream...solid work. I think you have what I did confused with something else. I never consulted with Paul R. about removing the cable gland. I wanted to replace them with stainless steel ones and I went about it. I didn't realize that when Paul R. said he potted the Dreams, that he meant he potted the cables in from the glands - I typically think of potted electronics as the board being potted to prevent water damage.Rob

There was no defect on the Dream. Yeah I didn't mean to imply that your Dream broke on it's own, just that the shipping time and $ are an added pain. Even if you are breaking your own gear.
