Greetings from New Zealand

Hi guys. I have just brought a RG-UF/M Rebreather. At this stage I plan to modify the scrubber can so it is refillable. I have not taken delivery yet but can hardly wait.
I have not dived a Rebreather yet so its all new to me.

Dave Ray had an RGUFM in the Newmarket Pool late last year. He had done the scrubber mod. He also used the plastic ball-valve as a DSV on his prototype "Reefmaster" CCR back in the early 90's. PM me if you want his details, he's a local wealth of info!

Are you looking to move away from pure O2 after you've had a play with your current project? There are a few of us on SCR and CCR (Homebuild, KISS, Inspo etc) in Auckland now. Three of us dived the Canterbury on Rebreather's last week.

Welcome to the pack!

Ray.

Re: Greetings from New Zealand

Thanks Ray. I have already spoken to Dave (soon after out biding him on the auction).

I will keep with the pure O2 for awhile then maybe convert it to mCCR. ( I dont have the funds to buy one out right).

I dived the Canterbury a month or so ago (OC). It was great to see a "fresh" wreck but I cant wait till it has some life on it. Did you go with Northland dive?

Oh, I didn't see it on TradeMe. Where'd it come from?

Yes, it was the first time I'd been to the Cowshed. I thought they were a neat crew and Shanes new RIB is the sh1t and that has to be the biggest outboard I've ever seen!

Thanks SAS

Im self employed so I cant afford to dive overseas. Most of my diving is in the Hauraki Gulf (blaa but 1 minute to boat ramp), Leigh, Kawau, Poor Knights, Bay of Islands,Coromandel. All with in 3 hours drive from home.

Yeah the cow shead is on my very short list of dive ops I use. The only other is Poor Knights Divers, Poor Knights Islands, dive charters, diving, wreck diving, Tui, Waikato, dive equipment hire, Tutukaka, Northland, Whangarei
I did my TDI adv nitrox and deco with Shane and must give much Kudos to him amd Julia for their operation and also their part in sinking the Canterbury.
And the RIB with that 350hp V8 Yamaha!!! holy fcuk what a machine!!!

Anyway the RG came from a guy called Tobias Bernhard (google him) from Tuts.
