| Re: New O2ptima Rebreather student in Florida Congratulations on the Optima purchase. I hope to see you joining us on one of our upcoming Florida S.C.R.U.B.'s dives and helping us continue to keep the Optima to other rebreather ratio strong in Florida! When you're done with your class, please post some feedback about your experience, because there are always future Optima divers looking for advice about training. Good luck!

| Re: New O2ptima Rebreather student in Florida Second pool today. Comfy doing the drills, open water soon. Thanks to Tom M. for setting me up w/ the gear and to P. Sotis (addhelium.com). I did not have the trauma that many have expressed when going from open circut to CC. Remain calm, think about what senario the intructor is simulating. Work your way though it and find that emergencies in CC are not split second issues but something you can think through. So far, so good. Open water next week. Bummer is that I had to shave off my moustach that I have had for 34 years. Seems that without thinking about it, I shot out a little gas clearing the water leaked in from the stash. In CC that little bit makes a huge diff. My kids are making fun of me now w/o the stash. The price we pay..... |
