![]() | Hello from Scotland I lurk here now and again so I just thought I'd say hello. I don't own a rebreather, I'm a keen open circuit diver got a trimix ticket but I only dive shallow. I've had a couple of go's in the pool with a classic inspiration, I didn't like the unit. I couldn't read the hand sets, didn't like the harness, I also felt the counter lungs were not the right size couldn't quite completely breath out or in. The bottom heavy trim didn't help much either. I'm a bit of a low tech man, my dive gear is rarely dry. I'm not that tidy, I use it but I don't wash and polish it. I've been wondering about semi-closed passive rebreathers/ RB80 clones. |

![]() | Re: Hello from Scotland Hi, and welcome from another Rebreather World newbie. Sounds like a good decision on the Rebreather. No point in spending a lot of money on something that you don't feel you need/want. Especially if you don't think you'll follow through with adequate care/maintenance. Nothing wrong with that. We all have our priorities. Can't help with the SCR thing. I'm sure there is plenty to sift through here though. Good luck to you. |
