![]() | Hello Everyone! Hi! I have not dived a rebreather, YET.. ![]() I am interested in learning about them and so I thought I would sign up here as a first step. I am interested in the idea of silent dives and in being able to stay under for longer periods of time. Since I love seeing the fish and animals underwater in their native habitat I can only imagine that without the bubbles it would be even better. Ellebea. |

This is definitely the best site to acquire more information if you're thinking about making the switch to rebreather diving. If you do a search, you should find plenty of threads that discuss the things you should consider when thinking of buying a rebreather. With regard to rebreathers, they're expensive, they entail lot's of extra setup time as compared to open circuit, but the advantages far outway the disadvantages, especially if you're thinking about doing longer dives, diving deep or shooting photography or video. Best of luck to you!

I've come a long way since joining with the help of some of the members on here as well my own studies..and because of that I am just about ready to purchase. The book Understanding Rebreathers by Jeffrey Bozanic is a good resource to start off with. Oh and welcome to the site. Jason |
