![]() | Hello I'm interested in buying a Rebreather. Most of the diving I do is tech. Its getting more expensive to fill and the gear gets heavier and heavier. I have run into other Rebreather divers who made the switch. So I'm trying to see whats out there that will fit my needs. I'm here to educate myself, find the best rebreather available for my needs and see who offers the best training in my area. This is a great site. Thanks |

I can't answer the first question....but I can answer the second....Tom Mount. He's based right there in Miami. He teaches on just about every rebreather that is commonly found, and some that aren't.Welcome to Rebreather World. I was never Airborne....but I do have over 2,000 civilian freefall jumps. Mike |

If you detail the kind of diving you do it will help people to make suggestions. There are a TON of really smart people on this forum.(I'm not one of them unfortunately)Best of luck in your "Quest" Andy |

![]() | CCR, I'm doing mostly wreck penetration dives around 100 to 200 feet. Most of the dives are deco. I do enjoy diving on shallow reefs as well. I'm going to finish up Full Cave this Fall. Most of the dives I do are with Aluminum 80's, but I use 104's or 95's for the longer dives or caves. Thats what has me looking at the Rebreather's. Ginnie Springs is going to have a Demo Days on 11/13/05 for RB's. I signed up for that already. Thanks for your help. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hey Airborne, You know you'll have to curtail some of your diving while you build hours. No more 200' for a while. I know the + and - of my unit, it works for me. I think the enviro I dive in is harder on equipment so I'm sure it would work for you. The PRISM is another unit I like. Good luck, Andy Always carry adequate bail out gas! |
