![]() | NEW rEvo II diver- DiverDave Hi all My name is Dave Chillari and I live in Sydney. I dive with South Pacific Divers Club and am a regular contributor to our great online magazine wetrag (South Pacific Divers Club - Australia's Premier Not for Profit Dive Club ) I have just bought my first rebreather the rEvo II. I have the upgraded model with the DiveRite Transplate harness and I have my VR3 computer wired in to monitor PPO2. With the standard rEvodream PPO2 monitors, that give me 4 monitors for my PPO2. After numerous 'teething' problems (apparently the crate was hit by a forklift and the chasis was bent, stupid forklifties) but after a bit of work by Barry at Southern Cross Divers the unit is up and running. But not after getting a mouthful of caustic cocktail...mmmmm yummy! good thing I was only in 4m or water. Taking it for my first hour long dive I found it to breathe quite well in all position except on my back, where the lungs volume are forced into my lungs and exhaling is difficult. The HUD worked well, with the wrist mounted PPO2 monitor of the VR3 giving easy access to dive info. I am looking forward to getting a few more hours on the unit, so I can take my camera for a dive again. Happy Diving DiverDave |
