![]() | Well I have been debateing buying a CCR for sometime and low in behold I run accross Rebreather World. I'm glad to be here. A little intro: Live in Madison, WI (go Badgers!!!). Started diving when I was in the Navy. I grew up in the Virgin Islands so I have the luxury of bringing my gear down when I go visit family. I'm here because I'm interested in learning more about CCRs and hopefully making a wise decision in my choice of purchase, because lets be frank: they're not exactly inexpensive. I look forward to picking everybody's brain here, and hopefully meeting some divers in person. Great to be here and chat with you all later. Once again, Go Badgers! |

I'm glad to be here. Welcome aboard-A little intro: Live in Madison, WI (go Badgers!!!). Started diving when I was in the Navy. You’ll find a small but growing number of CCR types in the area- I just got home from diving a Lake Michigan wreck w/ my Meg, from MKE, at 1 am this morning. Biggest decision you are going to have to make is not which CCR you want, but which rig suits both your current and anticipated future diving needs. Once you clearly define your needs- be honest with yourself and attempt to leave emotion out of it- the choice will become more straightforward. Although not often talked about, I’d encourage you to enjoy the thrill if the hunt. Among other things it will broaden your knowledge and give a MUCH better understanding of what is out there. Have fun! ![]() Ken
