Hello from Austin Texas

Hi guys...just signed up a few days ago. I'm a PADI DM trying desperately to get into Rebreather diving. I WAS doing a CCR Dolphin conversion with Ron Micjan, but I've run into a few snags along the way and had some problems getting parts. I ran into some extra $$, so I gave up on that and I've decided on the KISS Sport with an HS Explorer on one of the sensors. I'll be taking my cert from Roni Liberman (IANTD IT) and HOPEFULLY will be finished before Christmas. I've been trying to get into RB diving since last March, so at the rate I'm going...who knows.

Anyways, nice to be a new part of the community!

Hey, why does my username say "Real RBw Expert" and how can I fix that? I'm novice at best...and my highest cert is only DM. I do not wish to overstep my bounds...

Glad to see you here.
This site ROCKS and everyone works hard at getting along and playing together.

PLus- Decoweenine is pretty much it for Jetsam products and he is a test pilot dummy for their products. Great guy.

I agree that this debate should be between the two of you by PM or e-mail.
No need to start any flamethrowing here.

Peter, if you want to post a list of equipment stolen I recommend you do so in a separate thread, with serial numbers and contact info (yours, local authorities and US authorities or representative) I'm all for it.

That may well help you track down the stolen equipment, or at least warn unsuspecting buyers.

*smiles* we do get along, this board was setup all along for us Rebreather flyers or Dark Jedi Sith Lords *hey it is the Dark side and I want to be a sith Lord* to have a place to call home, chill out and not worry about rebreather death box blah blah.

As has been said this needs to be off the board now and it is, let's keep it this way.

I personally have a real problem with some one being accused when they are not here to defend them selves and am well aware that there are always 2 sides to a story, although it is important that we share information which could help protect others.

Trey - do me a favour and post one way or the other in 15 days with what you recieve so we know if what has been said is legit or not.

Peter, thank you for sharing what has probably been a very trying issue. While it may not be easily confirmable I appricate that you said something instead of nothing.

Gentleman while this might be a terrible opening I hope that we can play in the same sandbox.

Don't be discouraged about buying/selling used diving equipment as long as you know a bit about the reputation of the person whom you are dealing with.

However, I have dealt with Roni and Peter briefly in 2002 when I was trying to sell a compressor filter.

After ~4 months of hanging on to the unit since one of these 2 gentlemen told me at least 3 times that the payment will be coming "tomorrow", I have received an email telling me that they have decided to buy something else when I made the inquiry later. Of course, I had told people that it has been sold so lost sale opportunities.

So not sure if I will trust either one of them on anything anymore!

Just my own experience and YMMV, so Caveat Emptor!
