Greetings from Down Under!

Hi all!

I've been diving OC since 1980 and have just bought my first breather, an AKA-60 Orca.

Thanks to the info here in the board, I've already been in touch with Dave Sutton and found that the unit has been through his shop of horrors at some point in its travels. I've also made contact with some other members about PPO2 meter options and have a solution in the pipeline. I'm getting a fill adapter made up and have a Dwyer flow meter on order too so I fully expect to be able to test the unit in a controlled environment before Christmas.

At this stage I've no intention of converting it to CCR.

The info on gas matching and flow rates etc is very interesting, but I'll be basing my startup settings on Draeger Dolphin specs to keep within the established envelope and as I accumulate data from my own dives, I'll extend from there.

Anyway, thanks for being here!

Ray.

Re: Greetings from Down Under!

Welcome Aboard!

Think you'll find the Homebuilt area a good place to start... the guys are a good bunch. Bet that SCC stuff will be binned before too long though and you'll be making a CCR out of the thing...

Well done on the Avitar as well.... you'll fit right in.

Dave
