Intro - drinking the kool-aid in Nov

Hi everybody,
I just moved to Bellingham WA from Juneau Ak. I'm currently NAUI Trimix Open Circuit. Will be taking my rebreather course (Meg Copis) in Nov with Mel Clark. Any helpful hints are welcome.

Welcome aboard!!

I recently did a trip to Bellingham and the diving was great!! the Water temp in December was 39F, a little to cold for my taste but fantastic diving.
The local store Gone Diving runs trips on their boat to the San juan islands and BC.
Next time I fly up there I'll bring my Copis and give you a call

Mel was my instructor too. I think you are in for a treat and are going to have a great time. Do you know if there are other people in your class or are you going through solo?

I think I'm one of four. My old tech dive buddy (akscubainst ) trained w/ Mel and knows a couple of the other guys. I'm looking forward to meeting some of the Puget Sound dive crowd.

I am scheduled for the same class in November as well. I think the remaining two divers are members of this board (Nailer99 and Calvin).

Look forward to meeting you!

Thanks for introducing yourself, looks like we will probably be paired up. Are you training on a meg?

Re: Intro - drinking the kool-aid in Nov

Hey guys,

Glad to see our numbers are expanding. There are a few of us around the area thanks to Leon being close by. I'm currently diving with a bunch of open circuit guys (out of Portland) who haven't tasted the kool-aid yet. Will any of you be at The Edmonds Conference Center on 9-9 for the Pacific Northwest Tech Diving Conference? It would be nice to hook up with other Meg divers.
