Thumbs up Wannabe from Norway

Hi all

Did the big "mistake" of taking a intro dive on a Inspiration last time we went to Sharm el Sheikh (been several times).

Even if the earlier dives on OC was by far the greatest (hammerheads, whale shark, turtles and eagle rays) what really got to me was the eCCR dive.

We were given several "warnings" about the intro being the most expensive experience available - I really didn't understand that until it was too late.

Surfacing after the 55 min at 10m dive, I would have happily swiped my credit card paying any price if I could go down again the same day. Unfortunately it was our last day of diving, but I seriously considered missing the plane home the next day.

Anyway, now being stuck back on dry land I have read the Evolution manual at least 4 times, played with the online simulator and actually started writing my own little simulator on my Ericsson mobile phone.

I used to be a "real" programmer before being "promoted", but the Java for Mobile (j2me) platform is small enough that I can keep up even if I dont program daily anymore - so it is currently my preferred development platform.
One other great thing is that I can take my little achievements with me and play with them, when ever my paid work gets too fustrating

I will happily share my - still unfinished toy - see attachment.
But be warned:
- it is still far from finished
- it have no idea how it will work on any other phone than Ericsson w810.
- a lot of the logic (simulation) in the back are pure cheats
- it is undocumented and poorly tested
- in short I take no responsibility what so ever

Ok, this will have to suffice as an intro.

Thanks for the good site - and keep up the good work.

Jan Erik
