Smile Hello from Norwich England

Hi
Just purchased my first CCR a week ago. Been thinking about it for about 2 years now and finally decided to go for an Inspiration Classic. Got a s/h one in the end and will be doing my course next month. I did try a Kiss once and found it very amusing as I breathed in, nothing happened and I nose dived into the bottom!!
Have been diving OC for 14 years and working as an Instructor full time for the last 11 years. I currently teach up to OC Trimix but am really looking forward to this new challenge.

Re: Hello from Norwich England

Welcome to the dark side Batman, when you say you tried a kiss once does this mean your fighting crime full time, or just nights.

Cheers

Thanks for the welcome's.
Looking into sorting some dives of Norfolk/Suffolk. Also thinking about stocking AP spares and lime at my shop. Always have O2 available and will soon have helium if thats of intererst.

Re: Hello from Norwich England

Welcome to Rebreather World Bateman,

I see on your website you use a landing craft for your diving in Norfolk is this a boat you charter? If so can you let me have the details?

I am based in Cambridge but dive the south coast most of the time, I have only dived Norfolk once and that was out of Wells. Lots of goodies came up that time and most of the dives were 30m. Is it true the vis is only good at certain times of the year?

Re: Hello from Norwich England

Cheers Ray

Just got to get the course done, then I have a week on Safari in the Red Sea and am hoping to use it there, should be able to clock up a few hours. Hopefully be ready for some dives over here late September.

It was the CE cert that got me in the end!!!

I charter the boat from Safety Boat Services but to be honest it is a bit of a pain to get in and out of. They do have other boats and you can find them on google. I did book about 8 charters over the summer but I have been let down a bit and the boats cost a lot. Maybe with the forum we can get a few names together and sort somthing out. Viz can be a bit hit and miss here but on a good day it can be really good. Generally you dont need to go much deeper than 30m.
