What do you all say about having a worldwide CCR meeting
for diving and socializing?
We can host it in our dive resort.........

We can also have it at the already scheduled Rebreather World party in Florida during DEMA,

for which we will provide the details once we have a few last things narrowed down. Stay tuned for details on that.

Thinking about something a bit difrent
Mostly a lot of diving and less in the form of a marketing show.

There are several similar annual events.

Rebreather Week at Pirates Cove Dive Center - Juan Dolio - República Dominicana
InnerSpace at Grand Cayman - Cayman Islands Resort for Scuba Diving and Snorkeling Vacations - Cobalt Coast Resort and Suites
and
Tek Week Grand Cayman - Cayman Islands Resort for Scuba Diving and Snorkeling Vacations - Cobalt Coast Resort and Suites as well.

Tek Week is coming up in a few weeks.

More events would be good. Lynn and I go to quite a few of them and it's great meeting all the people. We'll be at Tek Week with about 25 other Rebreather divers and about the same number of OC divers.

The World is a big place, most of us over here could never afford to go to DEMA in the US (money pays for diving not jolly's

And we don't need to go- Stuart's Videoblog was as good as going!

A meet somewhere in Europe however.... (with diving) would be interesting.

So in answer to your suggestion- Why not start with a Middle East Rebreather Meet?

That is the problem, the world is a very big place and we all have limited money and time.

So maybe, Advanced Diver Magazine should hold 3 or 4 CCR meeting areas in different sections of the Globe :-) I like that idea............

I like that idea as well. Europe I can do but America or Asia is just too far away too expensive.

As said Id bee looking for a lot of diving and good chat for the rest of the day but having demo stuff to play with and formal talks would be icing on the cake for me.

Well, I would love to, BUT spending $25 - $35 a year for foreign postage per person does not keep me in business.

Sorry, my real job is a full time fireman; I do the magazine because I love to dive. To date ADM have never paid me a paycheck.

I'll tell you what I can do, you mail me something weighing 1 pound from your business every quarter, and I'll mail you a magazine.

I wish I was a millionaire and I could just send out everything for free, but since I am not, I think my paid subscribers would rather see me stay in business so their magazine will show up at their door.
