| Hello from San Diego Hello all! I just joined the site last night, and I'm eager to get into the rebreather world. I'm an SSI Instructor Certifier and Tech/Cave diver through TDI and GUE. I'm the owner of San Diego Underwater Adventures (SDUA); visit our web site at SDUA Home Page. Could anyone out there lead me to some research on the various rebreathers available; perhaps a good article comparing/contrasting the various brands? I'm new to the rebreather world, and I'd like to do a lot of primary research before jumping in with both fins! I'd like to know personally, and I'd also like to know so we might incorporate rebreather sales/training into our shop. | Re: Hello from San Diego welcome to the group. You might want to search the archive here. There has been alot of comparing of the units. What most find out is that each unit is good at doing a certain tasks. There is not a single unit that cover all the tasks. So find one that meets your needs and get a test dive somewhere and see if you like it. |

| Re: Hello from San Diego I have to agree with Clint. I am a client/customer of SDUA and Dr. Creasy has set up, not only a dive shop, but a gathering place where local divers can meet, discuss and share diving. He's also got a great business model & philosophy and the best deal on gasses you can find (at least for OC ;)) I'm glad to hear that he is on RBW as its the right place to learn more about CCRs. It will also be good to have a local shop carrying rebreather gear. Welcome aboard! Paul |
