| Curmudgeon ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | new inspiration diver After spending a few months sculking around here and other sites, reading everything I could. I'm finally doing it. I've been taking an inspiration course with Jeff Bozanic in southern california. I just got back from 2 days of diving. I need one more day for my cert. I didn't believe everyone that it different and like starting all over again. It really was, I felt like a complete amateur the whole time, my bouyancy was all over the place. On decents I'd just try to avoid being a 'dirt dart' and crashing into the bottom. The breathing was completely different. I'm now a little better, but still have a long way to go. We've been flying the units manually so far. On Monday we get to fly it electronically, we'll see how that goes. Incidentaly Jeff is a great instructor, very experienced and he really knows a lot. Cheers, Babar (No longer researching) |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Congradulations Congratulations on your investment into the CCR World. You will not regret what you are doing. Jeff is a great guy, I met him last year and went to some of his seminars that he put on up here in the Seattle area. Believe me, the CCR diving that you are doing will become much easier as you practice and get more dives under your belt. For me, it took about 25 dives before the light really turned on. Hang in there!!!!!!!!!!. I remember my asking myself, self, why am I doing this?, and now I know why. I am now doing trimix diving on my KISS Classic and it is great not having to carry around my twin 95's on my back. Have a great time and enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sincerely, Curt |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Congrats. on becoming bubbleless. I think I saw you and Jeff (in the yellow suit) near Long Point? I was leading a class of very noisy juvenile bubblers. Nice to see more CCR users in So. Cal. |

Jeff wears a bright neon yellow WS, I only had a drysuit, and didn't want to (was warned not to) start out messing with 3 different bouyancy controlers so he lent me his old one, which is also bright neon yellow. So yeah, if you saw 2 large guys diving inspirations in neon yellow wetsuits, that was probobly us.Babar No longer just researching |
