| Southern Monkey Current Rebreather/s: | The force is strong Some years ago I made a decision not to look into rebreathers, I knew that I wanted one but thought it would be better let other people play on the bleeding edge of technology, and with the expense. This foothold on reality has lasted me a long time and I have managed to not even consider rebreathers for many years. However as I have now slid further down the razor blade of life and suffered a prolapsed disk in the process - I have found myself with overwhelming urges of jealously watching a friend with his breather as my girlfriend and I noisily bubble away on our twin sets+stages and whinge about the weight as we climb ladders – I think that there has been a change in the earths gravitational field however that is a separate conversation. As for other urges with respect to rebreathers – I will admit that I have been suffering some sleepless nights in anticipation and contemplation recently – but no photos under the pillow - yet. So as I fine tune my mind with killing off all but the strongest fittest brain cells, I proffered the idea to the other half, and she retorted “yes absolutely I agree lets do it”.. so.. without further ado we are to finish our trimix training on open circuit and commit ourselves to the dark side as quickly as possible. Since we first met I always knew she was the girl for me For future reference (they say women are good at changing their minds PAH!) , at this moment in time we are looking most seriously at the Classic KISS. The only issue being that as chief technologist for the relationship I am responsible for the technology budget and now the expenditure is to be double – however with such resounding buy in this is to be an open book project So thanks to all you crash test dummies for your resounding work of years gone by. ![]() Please accept this as my appology for stupid questions that i post from this point forward, at the same time i do hope that i can add something more than just this post to the board. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Welcome to the KISS Side My wife and I also enjoy diving the KISS Classic's together. Once you get involved and with about 50 dives under your belt, you will wonder why you didn't jump sooner. But, better now than never. I know you won't regret your decision to move to CCR's. Last weekend, we did a CCR dive to 256' on trimix and with the gear that we had, it was not hard to get out of the water. We carried 2ea 40 cu' stage bottles and our KISS Classic's. Compaired to OC we were alot lighter. Check out our web site www.silentscuba.com and you will see some neat pictures of some of our KISS diving. Welcome on board and enjoy the ride. Sincerely, Curt |

| Who loves ya, baby ![]() ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Welcome to the board, Gibbon. Great intro post, had a big on my face reading it. Congrats on your other half, by the way, you want to hold on to her. To many a rebreather diver has recurring bouts of hyperspousia. ![]() Plenty of KISS divers to answer your questions, have a look in the forum and articles first. Will probably answer some of them. Anything else, ask away.

After the cave, here is an idea of another thriller movie:a bunch of Rebreather divers travel from all over the world to Malaysia & convince Gibbon's better half to extract this particular gene from her ADN. They provide it to a crazy scientist who will introduce this in all women Rebreather divers & wives leaved happily ever after. Can I be one of the stunt diver & get a few rigs after the movie is done? Best Philippe |
