![]() | Lurker exposed! Well, i've been lurking on this sire for a while now. Thought it was about time i said hello. I'm still on OC trimix, currently diving twin 15's for the deeper stuff. It's all getting a bit too heavy and not doing my back (or bank balance for gas fills!) any good at all, so it's time to look at moving over to the dark side. ECCR scares me to be honest, so i'm looking at MCCR at the moment. Been looking through both the current and archive posts, on the Classic Kiss, and the rEvo II. Quite like both to be honest, but all my mates dive Inspo's, so no 1st hand knowledge of either unit. Anyway, i'm off to read the downloaded manuals, amd trawl through the archive material again, I'm sure i'll post some stoopid questions, but look forward to the response regards Steve |

One bit of really cool info is that this board has way more smilies than The Deco Stop, and a higher limit on how many can go in a post. ![]() ... and not doing my ....(.... bank balance for gas fills!) any good at all, so it's time to look at moving over to the dark side. The dark side is definately not going to make your bank balance happy. ECCR scares me to be honest, so i'm looking at MCCR at the moment. But it does sound like an opertunity to learn first hand from your mates about ECCRs. Take advantage of that opertunity. I am guessing that you are not planning on buying more than one unit so you should get all the info you can and the unit that what will be best for you."Mechanical" does not mean more reliable than "Electronic". Both are types of machines and like all things made by man, imperfect.

![]() | Re: Lurker exposed! Hi Steve Well, i do like yours Jo. It's just the price tag at the moment. Nice avatar by the way. I wonder who took the piccie Welcome to Rebreather World - are you sure you don't want to add a Copis Meg to that list?? ![]() Welcome to the board. You're correct. I don't have any plans on buying more than one unit. That said, i didn't plan on diving anything more than single cylinder either, so i'll remain open minded! One bit of really cool info is that this board has way more smilies than The Deco Stop, and a higher limit on how many can go in a post. ![]() The dark side is definately not going to make your bank balance happy. I'm an aircraft engineer by trade and if things didn't break, i'd be out of a job . There is a local (ish) dive centre that often do rebreather try dives on about 4/5 different units for a day. Both a mix of ECCR and MCCR. I think it would be a worthwhile day out for me at this stage, and money well spent in the future. |
