Hello from NJ

Hi Guys!

I am just a regular scuba AOW diver not even very experienced and by all means not even close to the level which even a beginning rebreather diver must have.

You guys have gone a long way since Valerio Borghese and his frogmen “introduced” this device, but as far as I understand unlike normal scuba this always had been a realm of professionals or professional level sportsmen.

So my interest in rebreathers is purely “theoretical” now, but then who knows?

Alex,
Welcome to Rebreather World!
Plenty of great, even "theoretical", info to be found here on the site.
And by all means, don't hesitate to ask.

Again, welcome on board.

cheers,
RBN

Welcome Zorro, quite a few people from NJ on this site and, of course, lots of great information.

Welcome aboard Zorro, if you are looking to get into diving CCR's, there is a good article on the KISS in the Issue 3 of the Underwater Journal (www.underwaterjournal.com). The mag is a free, online publication and comes as a PDF download .

Zorro: I have seen a couple of your movies and wish I could use a sword as handily as you... (sorry, couldn't resist).

This is a great place for information. Also, you may find that CCR diving is not as far beyond your reach as you imagine. There are many divers who switch from OC diving at a relatively modest experience level.

Good luck and welcome
