| SCR Diver Current Rebreather/s: | Hey folks Hey all you Bubble-less divers and nearly bubble-less divers, I thought I'd do the "Hey folks" thing and check it off as done. I have not dove with any of you yet, but hope to someday. I have just purchased a Dolphin SCR and will probably dive SCR for a few years before I go deep. I do want to see what is down there and I don't want to just read or hear about it. I've been diving OC sense '98 which I guess qualifies me a newbee, and I don't have much experience diving RBs, so if you stop hearing from me, look for a good deal on used equipment! OK, something about myself, I'm a Software Engineer by trade and an equipment manufacturer by desire. I’ve been deep for a sport diver, so I know there are things down there that I will only get to experience if I go trimix and CCR, but all in time. I’ve dove in the mud here in the states many times. Oh, I should say it’s not mud, but dead Alge. Each lake has its own taste. I’ve dove in water so clear I would say I could see until the blueness of the water stopped light. My most memorable dives are: First and tops, stepping off the end of the world with only blue below me in a fresh water lake. I felt like Superman! Second would be a 74-minute dive in the Pacific on one tank. So now that you know something about my diving experience and me, I’m hoping the diving only gets better from here but each ones experiences are their own and if I'm very unlucky, a CC will be my first dive experience on my Dolphin. IF I very lucky, I'll enjoy the full depth of the mud around here and the Pacific off California.I’m looking for another dive computer. My present computer is a Sunnto Viper. It is a very good computer for OC, but will not support SCR or CCR. I’m leaning towards the Delta-P VR3. Looks like a good computer for all the diving needs that I will probably see in the near future. Dang thing is costly! |

| SCR Diver Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Hey folks Hi CEStanley, How is diving going with the Dolphin? It goes well with my Dolphin after solving an initial set of issues which included things left out of training, setup issues and the maintenance of the Rebreather by the original owner. It is very nice to dive in quite comfort, breathing warm air and having so much bottom time. I have just started (within the last year) to push the limits of the depth of the mixes. Based on the posts by Freef, it is possible to do so safely (somewhat). See the article http://www.rebreatherworld.com/semi-...ighlight=Freef |
