And what did it tell you about OC diving?1/ Noisy. 2/ Cold. 3/ Gauges move to much. Sounds good enough to me, all the influences are that you should stop OC diving right now!! |

![]() | Rob, yes, it was supposed to to that. And, in many ways has. However, as I'm based out of Singapore, its rather difficult to get as much time as I would like on a Rebreather. Many of the places I go, either don't cater to them, or flat-out won't let you dive them. I've got as a mission to get as much time on one as possible in the coming months though... Next step: after 30-50 more dives on the SCR, to try the CCR, and decide which one to buy! |

Never had a problem anywhere (yet) in or around Singapore or anywhere in SE asia. Certainly never been told I couldnt dive them (that would be amusing) ! Basically you need to bring along your own sorb (available in Singapore) or organise ahead. Let me know if I can help.

So you just need to bring your fins mask and wetsuit... I dive a Meg. Any info just PM me. Rgds, Yann. |

![]() | Mike: Layang Layang for one, but then again, its a stricly OC (AIR) place . Which is debatably a very bad idea considering that you're doing so many deep dives during your stay there + no chamber. But hey, those are the rules ![]() Still need to find out whether its possible to Rebreather for my upcoming Sangalaki trip early next year ![]() But, would be very interested to know what you dive around Singapore (within a couple of hours) that could be fun + allow me to improve skills. Yann: already PM-ed you. Thanks! Cheers |

You just need to ask them to arrange O2 and hand carry your sorb. I have never found any dive center in SE Asia so far that refuses to allow RBs. Sure many dont have facilities - so you DIY but never have I been refused. Where have you faced refusal?? Whitemanta.com will get you to some nice wrecks around Singapore (Igara is a great Rebreather wreck - Ive pulled over 4 hour long dives on her with no deco) I often use B&J at Salang on Tioman Isl. for fishies
