![]() | Hello from Jules Hello Well I had to turn up here eventually didn't I ? I don't have a rebreather and can't afford one yet. So you might say I am "just looking" .. ... For now.... there must be phrase for the person who is rebreather-curious. We do get our bonus in august though.. and I will need something to entertain me when i get back from Galapagos. Biography for people who dont know me... I am small and noisy and like diving and have a very low tolerance to all narcotic substances like nitrogen and Alcolhol. I will probably just read but feel free to point to anything that looks like "beginners guide to rebreathers" |

We like small and noisy feel free to chime in anytime![]() As far as the phrase goes that you are looking for, I belive it is refered to "lurking" or something along those lines.... Anyway, that sure is fine to just read around and wet your appetite of diving a rebreather. RBs are great for diving in the Galapagos..... I just had to write that ![]() Well, look around, read as much as you can about RBs, don't hesitate to ask questions, plenty of friendly Rebreather folks here who are willing to help. And maybe sooner than later try one of those rigs out, just to see how it feels. Again, welcome on board! cheers, RBN ![]()

Richard Pyle's Learner's guide is better than a beginner's guide because--although it covers the basics--there is definitely stuff in there you would likely not practice in your MOD 1 course, like "dead reckon" loop gas mixing. You will love the Galapagos! I brought a CCR to the Galapagos in 2005 and was thankful for it every dive, except when filming whale sharks. For that nothing beats a streamlined OC unit. If I only could go back there and dive for months for cheap. Any Ecuadorian's out there have a good-looking sister you want to marry off? Honey, if you are reading this, I am kidding ![]()
