![]() | Hello!! Hello All, Not bubble-less yet but have been interested for some time. Now my current buddy has ordered himself an Evolution I thought it was time I started looking seriously. I recon I have got about 16months before he gets his! So time is ticking!!! Could I start of my first post with a few obvious (to you guys) but not neccessarily to me, questions: 1) What sort of price would be reasonable (buyers point-of-view) for a 2nd hand Inspiration? 2) What bits shoud I pay particular attention to? (BIG question I know) 3) Are the diffrent developments identified in any particular way? 4) Any advice you would give? (eg questions for seller). I should clarify here that I absolutely would not just buy it wear it and jump in..... We are currently arranging a course with a well respected instructor for later this year. Regards Midnight PS Do not know how that bit got added under my name on the top left??? |

Darlene I understand now. Confusing but fun!! Thanks for the other link also the price seems about right after some double conversion to YOYO's. Still, I will try to knock him down a bit. After all the unit is known locally as the most expensive paperweight in Ireland!! Wish me luck. Regards Midnight |

Regards Midnight PS Do not know how that bit got added under my name on the top left??? There is about 50 rebreather divers in Ireland and most of them have Inspirations but a few also have the Vision (Inspiration with new electronics) and a couple of KISS owners, Ouroborus and a few others. If you intend getting a second hand Inspiration you should probably look for; 1) A latter model maybe 2 years old and expect to pay 3500-4000 euro. 2) Check it has the ADV fitted and backlit handsets. 3) Check the size of the counterlungs and harness. 4) Get an existing CCR diver to help you. Good luck with it and if I can help give me a shout. Cheers

I am about 10miles north of you. Been on your site a few times and was very tempted by a VR3 until looking at the possibility of a CCR (Finance director SWMBO would not allow both!!!) Will deffo be in touch. Thanks again. Regards Midnight |

| RebreatherWorld Sponsor ![]() ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Hello!! Midnight Buying the CCR is the first priority then you can add bells and whistles later, you can run slates for the first while on CCR as it's generally 30 mtrs stuff untill you get a few hours up and start to relax a bit and enjoy the dives again. If you need any help checking out a second hand unit let me know, now is a good time to buy as a good few second hand units are coming up for grabs, most are going for the Vision or Evolution and are trading in their Inspirations so a few good deals to be had for someone starting CCR. Cheers

Tim comes highly reccommended to me by various people as his course is very thorough and are deffo not turn-up-&-pass types. Also the guy has a lot of experience both in the commie and rec diving worlds. Regards Midnight |

![]() | Re: Hello!! Well it has been some time in the planning but we have finally nailed Tim down to a date and we arranged a try-dive last tuesday. My first time on a YBOD and I thoroughly enjoyed it although I had a bit of a hard time trying to get the DIL valve to "fire" but I am sure I wil get used to it. The unit I used had a large counter-lung fitted but I found that I was using it to both extremes and it was getting a bit uncomfortable, I certainlly would not want to be under stress or working hard. All that said I thought it was brilliant and am really looking forward to the course now!! Wish me luck!!! Regards Midnight |
