DIR to Dive Inspiraation Rebreather

Been snooping on here for best part of a year so thought it about time I introduced myself.

After a rather noisy 13yrs on OC, I finally converted to the silent world & completed my Insp mod 1 2 months ago.

For those of you who may find it amusing I broke away from the clutches of DIR to Rebreather... O' yes it can be done ;-)

Anyway hope to see you guys around

Welcome aboard.

I dont find it too surprising that a DIR diver has decided to go CCR I have talked to others who have sugested that it might be on the cards. Mind you the KISS seemed to be the prefered cross over tool for fairley obvious reasions.

You have to be a keen diver to do DIR properly with trimix and keen divers who can aford it are likley to see the benifits of CCR diving.

Its safe to say you will be runing teem bailout then

Aggh, a fellow convert

Got to admit the first thing I did was ditch the insp harness for my DIR backplate.

Don't worry.....one of these days, 'ole Georgie boy will see the light and all of a sudden CCR will be allowed for DIR(but probably only after the big H builds a CCR)....then you can call yourself a pioneer that paved the way for the rest of them and led them on the righteous path!!

Once they finally see the light....the rest of them will be assimilated into the CCR way..

Do Halycon actually do a "company shovel" for the side of YBOD's. That would be splendid.

I could have used one this weekend after meeting a chap who clocked the BIG Halycon sticker on the back of my box. I said a few things about winding them up etc. (as you do), and had to ask him when we got kitted up if he was the bloke I was talking to earlier... he was then in full DIR kit... ahhh.... I jumped straight in.

If they do a special company shovel, I'd need one for the boat as well.
