![]() | Greetings from a new member Hello everyone- I wanted to take this opportunity to say 'hello' as I have just joined the R/B World forum and have been checking out some of the various posts. I do not currently own a rebreather, but am considering purchasing one and doing the training in the near future - hopefully after this season. The rebreathers I'm currently considering is the Classic Kiss and Meg, though I haven't completely dismissed the Optima and Stingray. I'm hopeing to read what others opinions/experiences are regarding the various models in order to help in my decision. So, for the time being I'll just read as much as possible and ask a few questions. Thanks, Eric Arlington, VA |

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: Greetings from a new member Welcome to the group. I am not going to tell you that rebreather X is better than rebreather Y since they all have thier good point and there bad. Instead I will tell you I like the Kiss rebreathers they are simple, and dependable and if I buy a second rebreather it is very likely will be a Kiss just because they are a clean looking rig and keep the chest area open unlike the OTS stlye of rebreather that I dive currently. Even though OTS style of rebreather have a track record of breathing easier it just depends on what type of diving one needs to do at the time. That is just my 2 cents worth of information. Ask many question on the pro's and con's of each of the units and then make an informed purchase. If you can attend an event were you can try various rebreathers. I am sure some of the other member can pass anlong the dates and time of these events.
