| Hello Hi, I am Recreational Trimix Instructor, but I am a Cop for a living. I have been diving since the late 1980s. I have accumulated many dives in the Great Lakes, North Carolina, Sea of Cortez, Bahamas, Carribean, and Florida where I currently reside. I also am certified and have a few hours with a Dolphin Rebreather. Aside from fewer bubbles, I did not find the Dolphin real practical. By the time you add its weight, the bail out, and the extra weight required for the breathing loop; it was just as heavy or heavier than twin 100's. I consider twin 100's safer than a Dolphin and more versatile. I am interested in closed circuit rebreathers as I can see distinct advantages in using these on deeper dives. I sold my twin 135s as I don't feel that I can safely carry these on my back along with a couple of stage bottles on a boat. I am getting older and do not desire to break a hip (That's supposed to be a joke). |

If you live in the panhandle you may want to get ahold of Greg Stanton at Wakulla diving center, south of Tallahassee. He has a wide range of rebreathers on hand & will likely be a great resource. Regards RAL
