Oh man, dude: Lots of cheery folks here to blow lots of warm fuzzys atcha, all well and good and full of absolutely good intentions- but, as a 3+ year veteran of the warm southern suburbs of the big "O"- Papillion no less!!!- lemme give it to ya straight:

No one CCR rig is "right" for everyone- not even for "many".

That being said, congrats on seeing the light that the stock Dolphin is, well, exceptionally 'recreational'. Decide just what YOUR needs for a true CCR are. Are you a homebuilder? More power to you- let your creativity run rampant, but temper it with a serious bit of good judgement. Just want to buy someone else's tin? That's fine too if you take the time to get a genuine understanding of YOUR needs for your dive goals. At the end of the day what you choose must make good sense for whatever justification you find for the sometimes- aww crap, OK, always- significant expense of an Rebreather over OC.

Oh, and never forget- I'll bet you still can't buy a Runza (those of you who haven't eaten one just have to lament!!) more than 50 miles or so from the big "O" - or maybe Lincoln these days (?). And for old time's sake: Go Big Red!
