Hi from Surrey(UK), Inspo on order...

Hello everyone,

I have been thinking about going the CCR route since doing my Adv Nitrox course down in Weymouth, and with a friend who had one of the early Classic Inspirations and having done alot of trawling for info and opinions, have ordered a Vision. He has now ordered one too, so I might need to steer clear of his wife for a while!

Really looking forward to booking my course in May with Andy Abury who is based in Upminster (ANY OPINIONS?) and doing the training dives at Stoney, woo hoo! Then my plan is to get out to the Red Sea for 5 days of uninterrupted diving, but unfortunately I might be on my own as my Inspo buddy may not get any more time off work...

Is there anywhere peole would suggest for finding a dive centre which is Inspo friendly, and also where I could find someone I could go out to the Red Sea with?!?

Hi,

Sounds like a nice way to get used to your unit!

If you are going to Sharm I'd use the Tekstreme wing of Emperor Divers who are excellent.

If you are going to Dahab (my preference) then I'd highly recommend Poseidon.

Thanks Helen,

It now looks like we might be doing the theory/pool
stuff in May in the Uk. hopefully followed by the open water training section in Gozo (Malta) and stayong for a few days afterwards to get some hours in.

But thanks for the info - I shall bare it in mind for the future!

good luck on your course, you wont regret making the switch

As Helen said, Emporer in sharm and poseidon in Dahab all offer the usuall CCR facilities. Rifat at Poseidon will always buddy you on his inspo whilst you get some hours in if you want. Nice lad to boot as well.

Also worth a mention is Emporer divers in Marsa Alam ( Based at the Coral Beach Hotel) I went out there this month with the wife for her Birthday. Phillip the manager will happy get you lime, bottles etc for your stay. Some nice easy diving and the chance to do Elphinstone, not a bad way to get some hours in for ya.

And there are some good deals to get to Marsa at the moment, Either way in joy your course and your unit.
