| Re: Evo Tanks Hydro'ed As far as I know they can, as long as they have a DOT or CTC stamp on them is should be no problem Rob |

| Re: Evo Tanks Hydro'ed My mistake they should have a TC/DOT stamp on them if they were purchased in North America like mine do. |

| hyrdo & dot regs Re: Evo Tanks Hydro'ed Will check and get back to you but if I understand you correctly tey can only be hydro'ed if DOT (Stateside) I'm planning on getting my non-dot inspiration cylinders hrydro-tested just for safety (I will still be doing my own fills).in the usa: Filling non-DOT tanks is legal only if done for for 'immediate export' out of the country (from this thread) Hydro-testing non-DOT tanks is possible, but 1) they'll still be non-DOT and pretty much unfillable by dive shops, and 2) I would be surprised if many hydro-test facilities knew it was ok to test a non-dot tank. From a thread I read some time ago: "You can get non DOT tanks hydro'd at Fill Express, just a bit north of you. I got mine done there about 2 yrs a go." (by DepthCharge) As an aside, I thought DOT regulations only applied to commerce across state lines. True? False? For instance, about the only way I could imagine getting in trouble for some DOT violation is if I were taking pressurized tanks into another state and renting (or selling) them there (not that I plan on doing that ever, I'm just curious). |

I know the DOT is not out hunting down us in the SCUBA Industry, but if you have a problem and they find them, I wouldn't want to be in your shoes. And yes its true, they can be tested if they are leaving the country. Paul |

| Re: Evo Tanks Hydro'ed If they are the original AP tanks, the have BS-xxxx markings. No hydro plant in the USA will test them. Best bet is to see if anyone in Canada can help. Try contacting a Tech shop north of the border. Second choice is to box them up, and get AP to handle it as a repair, unless you know a shop in the UK that will do it for you. Silent diving in the day, had a return policy to exchange them for US DOT/CTC ones, but I believe that is no longer the case
