Hi All, What are the pros and cons of an ADV on an Inspo? I was advised to purchase without one (by an extremely experienced Inspo diver), but my Inspo diving buddies are saying otherwise. Who to believe? Ask the masses! Thanks in advance, JD ![]()

| Re: ADV or not ADV Yup and he also told me that they where still in the mold making stage and didn't expect the BOV to be for sale until Q4 this year. Grrr, it just keeps moving further out. Looks like I'll have to choose from one of the others then....Cheers,

Re: ADV or not ADV I have one fitted with a flow stop and it is very usefull if you are task loading, however as i get more experiennce i find i could manage with out one. I think while you getting some time in it is one less thing to worry about. HTH cheers Mark

Re: ADV or not ADV Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately he didnt really give me a reason. I trusted him to teach me and order my unit for me, so I got the order form already filled in, except for my details. I guess if I never had one, I cant really miss it, can I? JD

Re: ADV or not ADV I would recomend one the ability to go open loop by just breathing out of your nose is worth it for me no matter what your doing you can manage this. It saved my ass when I had a CO2 hit I was unable to go OC even though I had a BOV but was still able to breathe out from my nose and get fresh gas from the ADV My view it equals a life saver! Fin
