 | Flowstop issues - help needed... The flowstop connected to the ADV on my new YBOD worked for about 2 dives and is now no longer working properly. No matter whether the switch is in the up or down position the ADV still supplies Dil on demand. Sometimes sliding it down with a small jerk solves the problem, ie. the ADV is isolated, but once underwater the ADV is back in business... Anyone have a suggestion as to how I fix this? I don't want to take the flowstop apart until I have heard from the gurus... help please! Jean.

We'll than contact the Gurus at APD  But even if you don't do that, the flowstop is quite easy, I suspect an O-ring problem. Just take it apart, check the O-rings, lube them up and re-assemble again. | Re: Flowstop issues - help needed... Probably best to unscrew it and send it back ... I am sure they will not begrudge you a new one..... May be a bit of a dumb question, by any chance did you ever dismantle the slider? The reason I ask is that on the (non AP Valves) one I have if you remove the black section of the slider and turn it around the thing does not work! No doubt the AP works differently but just want to save you the P&P..... Fil |
