Annoying 'T' Pieces

Has any one else had this problem of the 'T' pieces pressing aginst the side of there head when diving. I never had this problem with my classic unit but since having the new inspiration with vision electronics this problem is driving me mad . I have tried allsorts - moving the counter lungs further back, shortening hoses etc has any one got any (sensible) sugestions on what to try
Cheers

Can't say I've had that, but tilting the hoses in or out (by twisting the T laterally relative to your head) makes a difference to the hose position, so might ease your problem. You might have them turned out too far, in which case the hoses might be pulling them closer together.

Re: Annoying 'T' Pieces

Yes, I've noticed this problem. I think it's due to the change in the harness between the two units. I may try it with the shoulder harness NOT threaded thru the underside of the c/lungs.

Re: Annoying 'T' Pieces

Mark try using a crutch strap, then you dont need to pull the shoulder straps so tight and the unit will sit a little lower on your back

Re: Annoying 'T' Pieces

You could try brent (divetheworld) he did a conversion with pinch clips that made the lungs detachable ,it also meant that on a back plate you could attach them differently which could move them apart so giving more room between .I noticed it on my standard vision but since changing to a ss box + backplate & a couple of other mods it has gone away .
GRP Services & click detachable lungs

Re: Annoying 'T' Pieces

Yes, I had the same problem with my Vision.

Martin Robson of Eau Zone simply twisted both T pieces outwards.

Job done.

Re: Annoying 'T' Pieces

I have tried all of the above. Apart from a back plate. I already have the detachable counter lungs ( fantastic mod)
Maybe I just need a smaller head

Nah, maybe your necks too short. I thought Yorkshiremen were used to disproportionate body parts. Rumour has it their arms are too short and pockets too deep aswell......
