LOL sorry dave i did look for it but must have missed it!
if we go to a heavier gauge material we can cut out a lot more of the weight and turn it into a skellington frame....he he he or i can just leave it along and stop meadling with your design
with my kindest regards john

Re: Yet another travel frame

I like it. I am not unhappy with the standard Evolution setup but for when you want to travel light weight and don't need to worry about protecting the internals or entanglement issues it would work well. It makes a good fold away breather.

Re: Yet another travel frame

Nice frame nice work Mr Routley
re cambands on the frame:

The frame I had was 1.6mm Stainless and that took cam bands

very similar idea, the only worry i had was wreck penatration the exposed scrubber meant I had to be careful not to wack the scrubber on any over head wreckage.

Must add the write up to the to do list

Re: Yet another travel frame

I've been asked for the design, which is at:

http://www.bewick.org/david/FramePho...velFrameV3.pdf

Please note that John suggested one further change to this drawing, which was to increase the centre section of the cross piece from 100mm to 105mm. As the package I used to draw it was a trial that has expired I can't change it.

The other difference of the final product to the drawing was to have rounded corners on the back piece.

Not an Inspo or Evo diver so take my comments for what it's worth!
Do you think a simple "tarp" made by a pro from boat covers would protect the scrubber and still keep it light enough for travel?
Best

Re: Yet another travel frame

I did think of something like this, and I'm sure it would help. However, I am only going to use this setup for "non-challenging environments", so am happy with it exposed.
