Hose fittings

I've taken the my Inspiration apart to do some cleaning and maintenance

while my HH is out for service. So far I've rebuilt the regs, O2/dil add

buttons, and DSV. Now I'm on the hoses and I've noticed that not all the

hose ends are the same. I've got two hose ends that are squared instead of

beveled. Can anyone tell my which hose end goes where? This is the first

time I've noticed this in the half dozen or so times I've taken it apart.

Thanks,
Scott

It can't matter too much if this the first time you noticed the difference. I will have a look at mine but they may be different from yours

Probably not. It still would bug me that everything is not in its proper place though.

If you are talking about the part INSIDE, the fittings that go to the mouthpiece are flat..

Re: Hose fittings

With my hose fittings installed I have two that are different. 6 of the 8 fittings have a sharp edge/beveled and the other two are not they are square/two edges that are 90 degrees. I may need to take a pic.

Like I said, the fittings to the mouthpiece are different, first the screw on ring is a different thread, and the hose fitting stem (inside) is flat so that it sits up against the flapper valves..

Re: Hose fittings

I had a look at mine and all of the hose fittings are beveled. The only ones I did not get to look at were the ones on the mouth piece as it was attached to the hoses. Hope this helps
