compatibility of vision electronics

Hi all,

I have the following question. Is it possible to use the EVO electronics on a Classic Inspiration? I'm waiting for my EVO (another seven months or so) but I now have an oportunity to buy a second hand Inspiration at a great price. If I can swap the electronics from the EVO to the Inspiration, then I have a great combination. I can use the Insp for a the more demanding dives and the EVO as a travel unit or for the shallower dives.

Yes but you need a new scrubber canister as well.

PS: the Vision is a bit of a rip off at the momnet as the scrubber dosent fit the box properly. The slot at the back which usualy suports the lip of the scrubber can dosent do any thing. So the scrubber sits on top of the first stages at a slight angle. The divers I dive with are geting little gallows brackets made up to support the base of the can.

I have looked breifley at the Evo and it looked OK which it should be as the case was built for it. I have a classic but Pete and Lesley have the Vision. I will try and remember to take my camera with me next time I go round for a fill.

As I understand it there is going to be a new case for the vision in the future. However with Ap's manufacturing demands at the momnet I wouldent hold my breath.

Hijacking the thread...

Have been borrowing the Evo unit from Emperor in Sharm for test dives a few days last week. The electronic is working perfectly - nice thing to see after having been an electronic crash test dummy for a while.

The only thing I don't like is the unit is quite "heavy" despite the smaller size. Even the Emperor guys are finding the same when using the standard case - need more weight to get down.

No matter as I would just use the DT box and DT BM-CL on the Evo whenever I get mine...

What is a DT box?

DT Box is a cage to replace yellow box......

Similiar to Tech Blues one which is shown below.

Except normal people could actually afford the DT box...

However, dove the DT box and DT BM-CL yesterday. The BM-CL is EXCELENT, but the new DT box is too low (sat on my ass the entire dive) thus making it difficult to trim and hold horizontal position well.

So I will be making a compact, modular and AFFORDABLE version of the box for myself when I am back home later this week. If anyone might be interested in one, drop me a PM and I will update you when I am done.

I've heard about the DT Box, what is the DT BM-CL box as this is a new one on me. Any chance of some photos, web links etc, please
