| New Member Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Armadillo CCR Side Mount System-YBOD Hi Tony I use the Armadillo sidemount system on my Evolution, but it's not in the original case, I use a backplate, harness and travel frame. So the bottom pad with the metal attachment points bolts straight to the bottom of the plate and the upper strap with the bungees passes through slots in the backplate with a stainless weight retainer to keep it in place if I only have one sidemount bottle on. regards Huw |

| Re: Armadillo CCR Side Mount System-YBOD Hi Tony Standard case, but with backplate... I guess that you can make some holes in the original case ? Nick

| Re: Armadillo CCR Side Mount System-YBOD Yep, I did, on a standard Inspiration vision. Takes only 5 minutes. I drilled two small holes above the big square holes in the black part of the standard case. The triangular Armadillo bottom part fits perfect, as if it was made for the Inspiration this way; also on perfect hight. The top-part with the two elastic bands to hold the cylinder-tops is even easier: just slip it behind the existing "backplate" (I use quotes, as the Inspiration hasn't got a real backplate) and you're done. The only mod I made was attached some small stainless U-bolts at the end of the elasting bands, as only a knot to avoid it slipping through didn't seem robust enough. Fitted this way, you can still stand the unit on its bottom, as the armadillo triangle neatly folds up. Works very nice under water! Ciao, Tino.
