| Evolution Maintenance Hi All, Well it's almost a year since I got my Evolution and managed to get 75 hours of trouble free motoring out of it. So, just wondered what everybody did for maintenance. 1) I know all about the O2 cells, that's been done to death. 2) The manual mentions an annual service on the first stages, ADV Auto-Air, my experience of regulator servicing is that they are never quite the same when you get them back. So if you have a steady IP, is it a case of leave well alone? 3) Solenoid, annually? 4) Manual Add Buttons, annually with the occasional Ron technique of blowing silicone grease through them? 5) Mouthpiece, although working ok, stripped this down after 6 months just in case there was any accumulated debris. Everything was clean, so relubed it cheched the mouthpiece tie wrap. How often to y9ou change the O rings? 6) Hoses, how often do you change the O rings? 7) Does anybody pressure test components individually, i.e. the hoses, counterlungs etc as they do on the Draeger service, or is it a question of leaving it to the pos / neg check only? 8) Hoses visual check, most are permanently screwed into stages and manifolds, does anybody replace the O rings on a regular basis? 9) Have left out all the other obvious ones, tanks, lime, scrims, flow stop, BCD, but is there anything else I've missed? I certainly did all the teardowns with my instructor and probably got told all this, but it's a lot to take in whilst walking around with a huge grin on your face ![]() Thanks in anticipation. Leon |
