Testing a cell ,How?

I have an inspo Vision 9 months old done approx 15 dives & everytime I refill with Lime & calibrate I get a "cell 2 "warning ,if I then recalibrate no cell warning

.
my question is can someone in very plain terms tell me how to test a cell ? I know I need to use the little brass coloured thing to fit onto the cell but after that I'm stuck ,& before you ask I was NOT shown or told how to test a cell during my course
