| Condensation on top of scrubber I did my first 2 hour dive on my inspiration yesterday. When I stripped it down I was amazed at the amount of liquid on top of the scrubber, it was at least the depth of the black compression ring. Is this normal? If it is, its little wonder the wiring loom corrodes! ![]() |

I have some moisture (few drops perhaps) on top of the scrubber. With that amount of liquid the scrim won't be able to keep the lime intact from water for long. -- Aki |

| Re: Condensation on top of scrubber On longer dives there is a lot of water drops on the head and some condensation on the bottom of the bucket. That what you describe sounds too much. Did you have a good neg and pos test before the dive? JH |

| Re: Condensation on top of scrubber DJ, I have had a 3 1/2 hour run time on the Evo and although I have had water (moisture) on top of the scrubber cannister, it was nowwhere near what you describing. I did have quite a bit of moisture in the bottom, but not due to any leaks, it was all condensation. The dive was in 82 degree water. Did you invert at any point in your dive, although I cannot see how the moisture wouldve traveled through the sorb to pool there. I am thinking leak here...my 2 cents. Safe Diving

| RBW Member Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Condensation on top of scrubber I've done close to 5 hours on my YBOD and didn't have anything close to the amount of water your describing. Are you getting a lot of gurgling in you exhaust hose? If you are and your unit is passing positive and neg tests I would suggest you check the tie wrap is tight at the mouthpiece as well inspect the mouthpiece for holes. I once had a small hole in the mouthpiece and had a difficult time trying to figure out where the water was coming from. Scott |

| Re: Condensation on top of scrubber That much moisture at the top of the scrubber can only be from a leak in the head, head o-rings or the hose/o-rings to the inhale counter lung. Anything else would put water into the exhale counter lung, inhale counter lung or the bottom of the scrubber can.
