rEvodream as Inspiration HUD?

Has anyone considered using th rEvodream as a HUD on the Inspiration?

I'm just looking into it and thinking that it might be a nice neat and cost efffective HUD.

Any thoughs on it?

Hi,
I've been using it since may this year.
20-25 dives, deepest to -75 mtrs and it is a dream (Like his name).
Very easy to see underwater, very easy to calibrate and to undestand. I think that it is the best "gadget" that i have in my inspi.
I will tried some pictures this weekend.

Mine arrived yesterday.

The "tapping" thing is weird, but once done, is very simple. I hope the electronics are solid and voluntarily bashing your meters feels really strange.

You'd need a PPort to do it...or a Bean 4th cell holder...!

It runs off two cells and you would need to sort some Y-cables and resistors so you didn't screw your Inspo readings unless you have a Bean 4th cell holder and use a 4th and 5th cell.

friends, the manual states: you do not have to tap hard!!, and not to fast (1/second) there are software filters that detect if a tap is a tap, and not the unit banging somewhere...

I always do it this way: I take the unit in my right hand, and tap gently with the back of the unit on the 'knuckles' of my left hand: if it hurts, you tap to hard!!!!

once you have the sequence, it works always :-)

(this is the first exercise in the workshop when I do rEvo-training: tapping :-)

Paul, do you remember when there were 6 or 7 new rEvo2 owners learning all together how to tap the rEvodream ?

In a few days I will have to rEvodream HUD on my DSV!

Well given that my 4th cell is already fitted and I don't really want 5 in there let along 6

So would be looking at running it in pararell with cells 1 and 3 (pity can't do all three cells).

you can run it parallel with other cells, but if parallel with inspiration-used cells, I advise to only use one cell of the tree: in case anything goes wrong in the rEvodream, and this causing bad readings of that cell by the inpiration, the bad reading will be voted out and the unit keeps running.

you can simply setup the rEvodream to only display 1 cell (if not you would always have a 0-reading alternating with a correct reading :-)
