Inspiration VS Evoulution

Hi Folks,

I used Inspiration classic Normoxic Rebreather diving would like take full trimix, do I take the same unit or crossover to evolution.

What is your opinion?

Do you mean Vision electronics or the smaller breather Evolution (which comes only with Vision electronics)?

Yup.....the vision electronic similar like Inspiration.

I wouldn't downsize the scrubber and tanks if you are planning extended stuff. However I do like the Vision Electronics. My personal take is the best mix is the new model Inspiration. I just upgraded the can/electronics but I suspect that sell old/buy new might have been a better option at the time. What is the best option now I have no idea.

jason. The evolution has a smaller scrubber/drive tanks, thats what nigel is referring to. He is suggesting that he likes the vision electronics, on an inspiration chassis/scrubber.

just to be clear, is your original question;

a) "Im using my inspiration, but trying to choose between classic electronics and vision electronics"

or

b) "I can choose if I use an evolution or an inspiration (both with vision)"

Jason,

I have owned and dived both the Inspiration Classic as well as the Inspiration with Vision electronics. I would say with out a doubt that the Inspiration with Vision electronics is superior. There is almost no down side to the Vision electronics and it has many cool features. The heads up display as well as the temp stick are a big benefit. If you are going to be doing extended range Trimix dives, I would also suggest staying with the Inspiration size instead of the Evolution size due to the larger scrubber capacity and tank size. (Although, there are several people on this forum who actually dive an Evolution successfully for Trimix)
