| Changing the rubber mouthpiece Has anyone changed the rubber mouthpiece on the dsv and noticed any problems. Would it effect breathing quality? Same I guess on bov's? |

| Re: Changing the rubber mouthpiece Just choose a mouthpiece that has the same inner diameter so it doesn`t restrict breathing. I have Apeks comfort mouthpiece on my V4TEC and it seems to work fine. Actually I changed the YBOD original to the same before I got the BOV. JH |

| New member ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Changing the rubber mouthpiece I put a Scubapro on it for a while, it was a bit of a strech but it fitted. I found it more comfortable. Then, a few months later and half waydown a shot line, it virtually split in half. APD have made the fitting nice and big to fit the big ones they supply. They like them as it reduces the WOB. It doesn't really suit smaller ones. I learnt to live with the bigger ones...

| RBW Member Current Rebreather/s: | Re: Changing the rubber mouthpiece I fitted a large size MantaBite (the size suited to Poseidon regs too) to mine and it was fine, no WOB increase. I then transferred the Manta to my Divematics BOV when I got that - also no problems. |
