| What wing to put on??? I am looking at changing the wing on my Inspo, I like it but there is just not enough lift. On the surface I am very low in the water and unless I inflate the lungs it still sinks, not good It's the 16 kg wing but not sure the 22 will be enough with two steel 7's if I need the lift, I have 2 1.5L cylinders mounted on the box, a 3kg torch butt mounted, tools and other bits. I was thinking of putting an OMS 65lb on, but have been told that the wing will squash against the box mounted cylinder, has anyone found this? What other wings work with this system? Thanks Ivon |

| Re: What wing to put on??? I have been using the Custom Divers VBSand have been pretty happy with it. The one I have is the smaller of the two versions. 31-47lbs of lift. The profile at the top is nice and low as to not mess with the hoses. I am also a fan of the d-rings. Dive Safe Mark |

We've had issues with our evo's as well, they won't float on their own which makes getting them on and off a bit tedious in open water from a kayak...bigger wings would be good. oh, and stationary d-rings would make attaching bail out so much easier. Why not do a revision of the balance in your setup, then it may not be nessesary to go with such big wings. Thanks Ivon I dive drysuit with more undersuit than most guys arround here. When using two 7L steel cylinders, SS backplate, a big MetalSub torch, suit inflation bottle, camera and tripod, 6 kg weightbelt and 3 kg counterlung weigths. I find that my Scubapro RecTek wing gives plenty of lift on the surface. With the way I have the bungee cords set up, I estimate about 22-24 kg of lift. It works well for me. |

The rig would be fine if I didn't have to take it off to get in the RIB, I don't have any lead on it other than 3kg on the top so I can't remove any weight. It is still negative on the surface, if your wing is 24kg thats still 53lb, not that far from 65 when you add my other bits on top.I dive drysuit with more undersuit than most guys arround here. | Re: What wing to put on??? Just to clarify, the rig is ok when I am wearing it with my drysuit, the problems arise when I take the rig off on the surface. It is just too heavy for the wing, I obviously remove the stages but leave the torch, and other bits on to pull it into the RIB, it is clipped onto the side of the boat while I slide out of it and it won't stay on the surface unless the lungs are inflated, there is no weight that can be removed. I have also had to inflate the wing once at depth when moving a porthole, the wing full inflated and I still struggled to get off the bottom, this does not fill me with confidence if I were to have a loop flood. | Re: What wing to put on??? I am diving 4kg of lead and a SS back plate using a 5mm compressed neo suit and a forth element base layer. With two 10ltr steel bailout I float at about eye level on the surface with the 22lb wing fully inflated. I generally put extra gas in my suit and in the counter lungs to get comfortably out of the water. Id probably have to ditch the bailout with a flooded suit, I am not sure what id do with a flooded unit as i only have 4kg of ditch-able lead which is why Id prefer a bigger wing. ATB Mark Chase
