| overpacked scrubber canister left in a sun I spoilled my internal scrubber canister by leaving in a car while outside temperature was ca 40 centigrade in a car it was probably close to 80. Canister was as I think now overpacked. Upper lid has separated from a big pipe. When i put this lid on a pipe it is not going smoothly inside external scrubber canister. It sticks in different positions. Spider's springs are not tightening scrubber's o-ring to scrubber spacer. I was even diving with a mounted in such manner scrubber got CO2 hit but happilly interrupted dive and bailed out. Do you have idea if I can repair it myself or the only solution is to send it to APD? I treated upper lid with hot water and now it is well connected with a "pipe" but still is not moving freely inside external scrubber canister. Can you use some sand paper to make it thinner. I borrowed another canister from my instructor and upper lid looks differently - it is much thinner. I will be happy for any advice. M. |

| Not a euphemism! ![]() Current Rebreather/s: | Re: overpacked scrubber canister left in a sun Try Brent (Divetheworld) or John at narkedat90. Both on this forum, they are selling replacements at a very reasonable rate. Mike

Mine did it and AP fixed it. The line was that the spider should break before it came off. ![]()
