| Re: Leaky O2 quick disconnect... You can buy a service kit for it from AP, it does not cost much. You can open it just by screwing the nipple out from the add button. Use some fabric in between the nipple and pliers and just screw it off. There is a small o-ring that can cause the leak. Also the o-ring on the valve pin can be worn or without lubrication. EDIT: Should read properly! My advice works for the male side. You have the leak on the hose or? JH |

| Re: Leaky O2 quick disconnect... If the leak is coming from the hose then it will be the shraeder valve in the hose. They are quick and simple to replace quick connect. You just need the right tool to remove it.

When its connected to the inflate button? If so just clean and grease the nipple this will grease the orining in the hose.

| Re: Leaky O2 quick disconnect... I have had that leak also and it was caused by the small o-ring inside the female hose end. It was torn. You can try to look inside and see if the o-ring is torn. You can also lube it with the help of the male nipple on the manual add button like Beanie said. JH |

Looking at where it's leaking, I'd say that it's the o-ring inside the female connector that's at fault, do ad beanie says and slap a bit of grease on the nipple to lube it up. If this doesn't solve it, then you really want to try and replace that o-ring. One further question - I'm assuming that it only leaks when it is connected? If you disconnect the hose, then there is no gas leaking from the female fitting? |
