Question replacement scrubbers would you want one?

Me and Brent(dive the world) have been working on a second scrubber for the classic inspo and the first one has now been finished, we have done away with the scrims and replace them with stainless mesh, but because of AP's tolerances on one of there parts i may have to reintroduce one on the bottom or make a new spider that actualy fits properly
the two i have here are different by 2mm on the diameter
we want these so we don't have to try and refill the scrubbers on a rocking rolling boat so we end up throwing loads of sorb away just so we don't have to but buying an AP scrubber is £311 so this was born.
before i waist any more money on this would any of you lot be interested in a second scrubber?
kindest regards john routley

Re: replacement scrubbers would you want one?

If it came as a complete unit with the spring spider, such that it would be a straight swap to change the scrubber, then Blan and I would be interested.

As always, it's price dependent tho.

Re: replacement scrubbers would you want one?

What you see in the pictures is what you will get. A ready to use plant pot complete with the bottom spider. The AP spiders are inconsistent, if we cant ensure the quality, we will make our own.

Check the list price, then look at our plant pot . Expected retail will be £150 - £175 +delivery. Depends on the size of the list.

The whole thing is CNC cut, machined and then hand finished. The mesh is 316L CNC cut and then permanently bonded into the tube. You are free to use the scrims aswell if you wish. I have been using the prototype for over 6 months now without any problems. Run times exeeded 175 mins both in the UK and Thomas Canyon both with just the mesh and mesh + scrim. One celeb on the board has also been crash test dummy too.

Brent.

Re: replacement scrubbers would you want one?

Since I have a few Classic YBOD units laying around, count me in:

1. John (Narkedat90)
2. Brent (Divetheworld)
3. Phi (Decoweenie)
4. ......?

Also interest in Vision versions both in Evolution (short) and Insp (long) as well.

Those of you who have been watching the www.grpservices.com webpages in the past will know this scrubber has been a long time coming. Once this one has successfully covered our costs, I will start the design of a vision style plant-pot.
It is again a time where I find myself indebted to John's attention to detail and tenatious attitude which helped this one to get to completion. We nearly gave up on this at one stage due to development costs and manufacturing technology problems. Thanks John.

Answering side questions;
The mesh is a laboritory grade 316L sieve material that cost John and I a fortune. It took three types of sheet to be bought before we got it right. At this point I would like to say thanks to Dave T and Jonathan Knights for being crash test dummies on this one. WOB was critical. No, we will not supply it seperately. It is one of the unique design features of this part that will appeal to a lot of users.

Brent.

Fair enough Brent ,Only asked as I imagine your not going to produce a vision version with temp stick .
